I know my greatgrandfather Eliakim and Grace Crowder NORTON settled in Illinois and had a son Herbert Norton in 1845 and my grandfather Louis Henry was born in Canada in 1842. I am not sure what year they came to Illinois but know he lived around Durand,IL most of his life. I am trying to find where they bought land and lived in Winnebago or Mc Henry county. Louis lived in Spring Grove, Mc Henry later as an adult. Thanks, Genort @aol.com
