Subject: Jonsson⁄Johnson family members--Lost in America, relatives in Sweden would very much like to find descendants of any of these family members. Anders Jonsson b. 21 Dec 1856 and Pehr Hansson b. 9 Aug 1861, brothers, emigrated 1 April, 1880 on the "Alexandra" from Malmo, Sweden to Rockford. The next year their parents and two sisters emigrated 25 April 1881 on the "Patriot" from Malmo, Sweden to Rockford. Hans Jonsson b 30 Mar 1833, his wife Karna b 27 Sept 1831, sisters, Anna b 7 Aug 1870 and Bengta b 1 Dec 1858.

I'm trying to find my g-grandfather Emory Lloyd Johnson. He lived in Rockford. He was born 5⁄7⁄1886. Married Pearl Kammerer and had 2 children , Vernon born 12⁄19⁄10 and Delores. He dropped the last name of Johnson sometime before his death in 1930 as it was too Swedish and common for him. Any leads you can provide me will be greatly appreciated as I'm trying to search long distance from NJ. Thanks, Carol Doyle

I have information on members of the JOHNSON family that lived in Rockford, Il. for decades...the parents came to Winnebago Co.with their two sons about 1910-1915. I have data on the parents and these sons (all are deceased), but I would like to find out if any of the sons' families might still be in the area. I am searching for information on Phillip JOHNSON and his wife Ebba and daughter Bergith who lived in Rockford in the early 1900's. His father may have been Carl August JOHNSON who came from O:stergo:tland Sweden. Phillip had cousins Joe and Carl JOHNSON from Tea, SD who visited often. djohnson@denver.k1
