I am doing research on the following names : FLYNN, TURNEIL (not sure of the spelling ) KAVANAUGH and NEWMAN. The information I have is that in the 1850's or 1860's my Great-Grandfather; John Kavanaugh Flynn (1845-1916) came west to Illinois to visit an uncle named ? Kavanaugh who lived in or around Cherry Valley. He met and married one Ellen Turneil ( 1845-1912);my great-grandmother I am not clear as to how her maiden name was spelled; it could be TURNEAL or TURNEILLE The story goes that the Turneil's (?) came to Cherry Valley directly from Ireland My great-great Grandfather Thomas Turneil and my Great-great grandmother Betsy NEWMAN Turneil had fifteen children. Eleven of the children died before they reached adulthood and as the story reads; They were buried side by side I assume in a Catholic cemetery in or near Cherry Valley John K. Flynn and Ellen Turneil were married in 1868 and moved to Hazel Green , Wisconsin. Note: Please ignore my previous message, as it was sent out before I had finished My name is Patrick Barton and my E-Mail address is BART1952@aol.com Any help would be appreciated
